Les Chaussettes noires est le nom d’un groupe de rock français.
Fondée en 1959 à Créteil — il s’appelle alors Les Cinq Rocks — le groupe, dès ses débuts professionnels en 1961, est renommé Les Chaussettes noires et obtient un vif succès. Après le départ du chanteur Eddy Mitchell fin 1963, le groupe connait encore une année d’activité avant d’être dissout au terme de son contrat.
Premier groupe de rock en France, Les Chaussettes noires ont, avec Johnny Hallyday et Les Chats sauvages, contribué à populariser le rock ‘n’ roll dans l’Hexagone.

After the departure of the singer Eddy Mitchell at the end of 1963, the group still knows a year of activity before being dissolved at the end of its contract.
The first rock band in France, Les Chaussettes Noires, with Johnny Hallyday and Les Chats sauvages, helped popularize rock'n'roll in France.
